JCI Training Moves Forward into 2013

Dear JCI Trainers,
First of all, we would like to thank you for your patience and understanding with the new training system approved at the 2012 JCI World Congress in Taipei, Taiwan. Now we are pleased to inform you that
the JCI Executive Committee approved the transition rules for the current trainers at the January oard
Meeting on January 12, 2013.
You can download the new JCI Training Policy Manual and the JCI Training infographic, which explains the new rules into a user-friendly chart.
Here is a summary of the new rules:
What are the JCI Free Courses?
These are the courses designed by trainers “to expand the personal
development and skills of JCI members” and listed on the JCI website for
download: http://www.jci.cc/info/en/jcilibrary/training.
What are the JCI Recommended
Courses? These are the courses “to help JCI members develop the skills
and knowledge needed to lead and strengthen the Local Organization.”
What are the JCI Official Courses?
These are the courses “to teach JCI members and officers the skills that are
essential for the fulfillment of the JCI Mission, Vision and Values.”
Assistant Trainers: Must complete and pass the new JCI Achieve
knowledge test and attend and pass the JCI Impact knowledge test.
Current trainers of all other
courses: Must complete the knowledge test of the course they are trainers
and pass the new JCI Achieve knowledge test and attend and pass
the JCI Impact knowledge test.
Knowledge test: When you receive
this e-mail, the knowledge tests will be available to be completed if you
graduated or conducted JCI courses in the last 3 years.

- Who
can attend the JCI Free Courses? Anyone can attend these courses. - Who
can train the JCI Free Courses? Anyone can conduct these
courses.
What are the JCI Recommended
Courses? These are the courses “to help JCI members develop the skills
and knowledge needed to lead and strengthen the Local Organization.”
- Who
can attend the JCI Recommended Courses? Any active or past member who is
still contributing to the Local Organization. - Who
can train the JCI Recommended Courses? Any active or past member who is
still contributing to the Local Organization, is an active member for at least 6
months and has graduated and passed the knowledge test and also graduate from
JCI Achieve and JCI Impact.
What are the JCI Official Courses?
These are the courses “to teach JCI members and officers the skills that are
essential for the fulfillment of the JCI Mission, Vision and Values.”
- Who
can attend the JCI Official Courses? Any active or past member who is still
contributing to the Local Organization. - Who
can train the JCI Official Courses? Any active or past member who is still
contributing to the Local Organization, is an active member for at least 12
months and has graduated from the course and passed the knowledge test and also
graduate from JCI Achieve and JCI Impact.
Assistant Trainers: Must complete and pass the new JCI Achieve
knowledge test and attend and pass the JCI Impact knowledge test.
Current trainers of all other
courses: Must complete the knowledge test of the course they are trainers
and pass the new JCI Achieve knowledge test and attend and pass
